About JSM

Established in 1935, JSM is a family-owned provider of quality campus apartments. We offer a variety of apartments from studios to five bedroom units with every location enjoying convenient access to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. JSM manages roughly 1,300 apartments and 450,000 sq/ft of commercial space. Residents benefit from our award winning amenities, responsive 24 hour maintenance and friendly property management staff.

JSM has been a major contributor to the development of Campus Town in Champaign and the East Campus area in Urbana at the University of Illinois. These popular locations are now home to major national retailers such as Urban Outfitters, Chipotle, Flat Top Grill, Coldstone, Panera and Noodles & Co.

In 2010, JSM expanded to Illinois State University. Uptown Crossing is a mixed use development site with retail businesses on the main floor of the building, office space on the second floor and upscale apartments above. The building is ideally located one block from the Illinois State University campus in the heart of Uptown Normal and is anchored by CVS Pharmacy and Merry Ann's Diner.
